More Kleancolor:)

My second (and last!) package came today, and I of course started thinking of combinations that would go good together. I have this bottle of nail polish by the brand Fresh Paint. I found this polish in the store Five Below, and pretty much have never seen it anywhere else. Even online, it's practically a ghost polish.  The color that is in the link is the color I used, a very pretty purple/beige/pink.

The color that I topped it off with is kiss goodbye, a gorgeous multicolor with base colors of well...everything! If you look closely you can see a slight pink tint in the polish:
Here is how the rest of the manicure came out:

Not the best pictures I know! But if any of our blog readers know.. the weather in NY hasn't been sunny.. at all. It's been dull, freezing and depressing! We actually got some snow today, which was nice.. but mostly it's been just really cold, so the snow is now just a huge packed ice blanket (does that make sense?)

But I digress, I am now on a strict no  buy nail polish order! The only reason (well not the only) that I bought these polishes was that I had about 10$ worth of eBay bucks that were about to expire, so I bought the lot of Kleancolors and only paid 4$ for them after the discount :) I will post pictures of the lot, mostly glitters though. I also realized that even though Kleancolor is 3-free, they do contain camphor. That may explain the horrible smell! But then again, camphor is in my medicated cherry chapstick.. (1%) I don't know if this is a good thing, but if I can put it on my lips, then it can't be too horrible in my polish. (don't mind me..I'm just muttering to myself) But that's it for now, ta-ta!

Sally Hansen Teflon Tuff Secrets Frost

Vintage polish time! Who doesn't like a good vintage polish? I know I do. Remember that score I posted about a month ago? Well I refilled my good ole silver capped Sally Hansen Teflon Tuff bottle and restored it to it's original glory. I have to say, this has been my favorite holo glitter for years, wayyy before the holo craze. It's been one of my favorite polishes of all time, it's just so pretty to look at, and this picture doesn't even give it any justice. There really are rainbows in every bottle. It looks best in the dark, that's when it sparkles like a disco ball. The formula is really great too, it lasts a LONG time without chipping. Ahh good old carcinogen filled vintage formulas..
I actually have a manicure to post with this polish, my first Konad success (because like Erika mentioned, I didn't use the Konad stamp, I used the Salon Express one, which works WONDERS!) but that will be later :) I'll try to snap a pic in low light to show off the sparkle, but my low light pics never seem to come out that great.. anyways, enjoy!

Urban Decay Aquarius

I bought the summer of love set a few months ago from Urban Decay.com and well... I never even wore any of the polishes. I love Urban Decay, but guys... you really need to bring back the full bottles. I still have my bottle of (Original bottle) Roach and (new bottle) Gash. Why did you stop making full bottles, considering nail polish is what put you on the map? I guess we will never know.. But onto the color!

Of course about five minutes after I painted my nails I chipped the ring finger. Even with a nice coat of Seche on it. I also think it could have used a third coat. Two is good, but three would have given a more dense look.

I showed the color to Renee, and we got into a discussion about how much it would suck that we would have to buy a whole new set just for that one color. The only thing besides that it to get a dupe, and in our search the only color I could think of its Mermaid to order by OPI for Sephora and NYC Glossies 241. They come kind of close, but no cigar. Mermaid is duochrome and NYC 241 is very sheer! You need about 5 coats of it to get that actual color. And Renee added that it doesnt have as much as a metallic look than Aquarius. But that's it for now! I need to watch some Thursday night TV and vegggg...

Orly Rock The World

This is from their Mineral FX collection, a gorgeous burgundy polish with gold shimmer. I found it when I was in Ulta with Erika about a week and a half ago. At first I picked up Galaxy Girl, a BEAUTIFUL multi-chrome, but I put it down and picked this one instead because it reminded me of Hard Candy's Beetle, which I have, and I didn't want to have too many of the same polishes (plus this one is SO pretty!) but now I'm having regrets and I feel I should have just got both.. so if anyone has Galaxy Girl, I can trade you a good Japanese polish for it!

Chanel Paradoxal dupe alert! Flormar 418

Flormar 418 by KitaRei

This is the Flormar 418 polish that Dee sent me in our swap. After painting my nails, I realized that this color is the perfect dupe for Chanel Paradoxal, a beautiful dusty grayish-purple with pink duochrome shimmer. The formula is amazing, one coat for full opacity! I definitely want more Flormar polishes. For a low cost brand, (about one Euro) the quality is amazing.. now if only our brand equivalents were as good (NYC and Wet n Wild, here's looking at you!) Too bad we can't get this brand in the US (and Japan for me haha) All I know is, I definitely want more!

Weekend Manicure!

After receiving my package, I broke out the KleanColor Bluebell holo! It really is just a gorgeous and stunning color. I layered it over OPI Lincoln Park after Dark, which alone is a gorgeous dark purple red creme. It's a great substitute for Chanel Vamp (although I wouldn't refuse it).

Look at those colors! I had to take a few pictures to show the angles. And it was not hard! I think this is one of the only nail polishes besides Nfu Oh 51, where I literally didn't have to take 40 pictures to get all the colors in one shot. One thing that I did not like about this brand, the polishes REEK! I mean, wow.. they are 3 Free, but wow, whatever they put in there polishes, it stinks! Literally.

But as much as the smell is a downer, these really are amazing. And for the price, I can invest in a clothes pin for my nose, ha ha. I would also like to note that the dry time is very fast! I would clock it at about five minutes. Even faster with a coat of Seche Vite!

I can't wait to try another color, I have been testing different bases, and so far they look amazing.. except white.. which kind of sucks, because of the potential! But that is it for now, tomorrow I will post my hauls from Christmas Break, tata!
